How to Measure For Men’s Shirts

Men’s shirts are probably some of the most important pieces of clothing that you will have in your wardrobe. This is because shirts can be made from a wide range of materials, which means that men’s shirts come in a variety of colours, styles, designs, and so on. However, if you want to be able to buy the perfect shirts for yourself, then there are a few different things that you need to keep in mind.

One thing that you should always remember when choosing men’s shirts is that you need to make sure that they fit properly. This means that you will need to ensure that the shirt is made for your body type and that it does not cut into your body or restrict your movement. For instance, you do not want a shirt that is too long for your frame or too short for your body. If you try to wear a shirt that is too long or too short for your frame, you may end up very uncomfortable. This is why it is always a good idea to go into a store and try on different styles of shirts so that you can get an idea of how fitting the particular style is. The next thing that you should be keeping in mind when choosing men’s shirts is what type of material you want your shirt to have. Of course, this depends upon how much you are willing to spend. If you are willing to spend more money, then you may want to opt for a style that is made from thicker material and that has better construction. If you are unsure of how to measure for one, then you should ask one of the sales clerks for assistance. They are usually very good at helping people figure out their sizing needs.

Some Tips for the Perfect Capsule Wardrobe for Men

A capsule wardrobe is one of those things that makes every man’s life easier – no stressing about what to wear, instead you open a wardrobe in the morning to a co-ordinated rail of clothing that has been created just for you.

If creating a capsule wardrobe is something that you would like, you will probably need to do the hard part first – the clear out. If you are struggling for wardrobe space and have lots of clothes that you have never worn or have not worn for a while you probably do need a capsule wardrobe!

One of the main things that you need to remember when putting a capsule wardrobe together is that the things in  it should be good quality – no more fast fashion and a wardrobe stuffed full of cheap but low quality garments. Clothing like these mens Farah Oxford shirts from EJ Menswear is ideal for a capsule wardrobe.

As well as this you need to get the items to co-ordinate. There is nothing wrong with injecting a bit of personality and having some patterned pieces, but the goal of a capsule wardrobe is to make sure that many combinations of outfits can be created from the same items so of course you need to consider colours and styles.

Picking out some neutral tones to form a base for most of the wardrobe is a good idea. When picking out shirts and t-shirts pick one white and one in black as these are two colours that are easy to put with more or less anything.

Where did the T-Shirt come from?

If you are a fan of Farah T Shirts and have found your favourites at places like https://www.ejmenswear.com/men/farah/t-shirt  then you may be wondering where the TShirt actually came from. Here is a quick guide to the beginnings of the TShirt.

The concept of the TShirt began around the time of the Spanish World War and a long one-piece garment was given to the US Navy to wear underneath their clothing. In 1902 this onesie style outfit was adapted to be a two piece item with the top having a round neck and long sleeves. They were still worn as undergarments.

By 1938 a short sleeved version had been designed and was being sold by Sears as underwear. It wasn’t until the 1950s and 1960s that the garment became popular in the mainstream and worn as outerwear. This was thanks, in part, to Marlon Brando who wore one in the film ‘A Street Car Named Desire.’

Pop culture took the TShirt as its imagery during the 1970s and the 1980s and the popularity of these tops swept across the globe and we now have numerous different options available to us from plain simple TShirts through to the more stylish ones mentioned above as well as those emblazoned with quotes and sayings that are popular with movie, book and song lovers.
