Negative comments are an opportunity to improve products and services

The comments and opinions of customers are of great importance to the company. More than 70% of consumers rely more on the opinions of their peers than on the advertising of brands or companies. A comScore study a few months ago, the percentage of consumers who claimed that opinions and comments they had read from other consumers had influenced their buying decision, which had even reached 87% in some categories of products and services, such as hotels, or 84% in travel. What is the Serviced Apartment Summit?

The Serviced Apartment Summit conference is an annual b2b industry event for businesses within the sector to get together, in order to share their best practices, network with like-minded businesspeople and do business with others within their industry. This year, approximately 300 business leaders from all around the world were in attendance to attend the prestigious summit. Guest speakers included Guus Bakker, Boaz Beeri and Michael Bibring, amongst many other big names within the serviced apartment industry.

The Key Messages for 2017

Trevor Williams of TW Consultancy informed the summit that growth in the UK economy had slowed to 0.2 and 0.3 per cent in the first two quarters this year. All growth noted was within the services sector. He added that the Bank of England would probably not raise interest rates, despite the long term benefits of doing so once the country has completed Brexit and left the EU.

Hotel data firm STR provided statistics to show that revenue per available room (otherwise known as revpar) rose by approximately 7% within the hotel sector, and close behind was a 6.5% rise within the UK serviced apartment sector. For the latter sector within the UK, occupancies stood at 78% – an increase of 1.9% year-on-year.

With the aforementioned stats in mind, the outlook for 2017 is positive on the whole, with supply ‘headwinds’ predicted to benefit London, Manchester, and Edinburgh, whilst Brussels, Milan and Paris are set to rebound. A panel of investment and financial experts agreed that serviced apartments or ‘aparthotels’ were the way forward, and appealed more to sovereign wealth investors than hotels. When compared to hotels, it was pointed out that they come with less complexity and better added value when setting up, with planning consent far easier to obtain.

Best Reasons to use a Courier Service

When you have a parcel to send or you’re a business that sends out goods ordered online then it’s a good idea to use a courier. Here are the reasons why:

  1. Round the clock service – a courier company can collect and deliver any time of day or night, on any date. This includes weekends, evenings and public holidays when other delivery services won’t operate. This is perfect for last-minute emergencies or time-sensitive items that need to be sent straightaway.
  2. Save Money – if you have heavy or large items to send then using a courier can save you considerable amounts of money when compared to other forms of shipping. This is because a courier firm calculates charges by distance rather than weight so if your delivery address is not too far away then a Same Day Delivery Service could well be more economical than an overnight or express service. 3. The benefits of same day delivery are huge for time-sensitive and urgent items. This can help solve your last-minute delivery needs as long as the delivery address is within driving distance to be reached in one day.

  1. Businesses can save money by not having to maintain a fleet of delivery vehicles themselves. If your business has busy seasonal periods then they can outsource this work to a courier firm which is far more economical in the long run than leasing and maintaining a fleet of company vans.
  2. You know you can trust the drivers as courier firms provide insurance, background checks for their employees and ongoing service standards that their drivers must adhere to. Couriers will also provide you with shipment tracking details so you know exactly where your item is and they operate 24/7 so there are always dispatchers on duty.
  3. A courier company will offer delivery options that aren’t available elsewhere and all at a reasonable cost. Unusual or sensitive items, perishables and medicines are all much safer being sent this way. Urgent parts for manufacturing plants or vehicle garages are further examples of items where a speedy same day service might be essential and difficult to post any other way.
  4. Sending extremely delicate items can also be easily achieved by using a courier. This is known as ‘white glove’ service. Courier firm’s same day services are also essential for the serving of legal process and papers.

  1. Many high-street retailers are seeking to offer superb customer service by offering same day local delivery. Using a courier firm is a cost-effective way to achieve this and improves customer loyalty, satisfaction and boosts sales.
  2. Courier companies can be found in almost every town or city in the UK so whether you’re a private sender or a small business, you’ll easily find a delivery solution in your area.
  • Get a great deal on customised deliveries for your business, saving you money especially when it comes to repeat deliveries and keep your customers smiling and returning!

How to make the most of your sex life in older age

As people get older, sex can change. For some people, sex gets even better as they have increased confidence and love for their partner, but other people complain that their sex life starts to dwindle.

If you can relate to this, don’t worry. Many people experience sexual dissatisfaction as they get older, and it is very easy to solve this problem. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your sex life at a mature age.

Focus On The Bond

As relationships mature, the passion tends to dwindle, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Passion is a lot of fun, but it can also come with a great degree of uncertainty and insecurity. An older relationship has a strong bond with lots of familiarity, and you should view this as exciting rather than boring. You have a strong relationship, and that creates confidence and a desire to please each other.

Switch Things Up

If you and your partner have been together for a long time, the spark may have gone, but you can reignite it by switching things up in the bedroom. Sit down with your partner and discuss your deepest fantasies, and then try to make them a reality in the bedroom. If you’re struggling for ideas, you could consider role-playing. According to Destiny Connect, role-playing can be an exciting and fun way to get the passion going in your relationship, even if it does feel a little awkward at first! It may be difficult to get into it, but try to have a giggle as you go to help to calm your nerves.

Stay Safe

If you are single and sexually active, you should ensure that you stay safe by getting regularly tested. If you want Chlamydia testing kits in London, check out https://www.bexleysexualhealth.org/chlamydia_screening/ to find out more about chlamydia screening.

Don’t Settle

If you are sleeping with someone who doesn’t particularly turn you on, don’t settle for it. Consider sexual therapy or more communication with your partner if you are unhappy with your sex life, and if that isn’t effective, you may want to consider moving on. Age doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy yourself and have a great sex life, especially if sex is important to you.

What do we need to gain greater relevance and be more influential?

Influence is the goal we all pursue, to become a source of reference and that our actions have relevance.

To be influential, you first need to get authority, that your brand will gain relevance and positions you as a referent. Quality content influences the audience, prompts the purchase. If your results in online marketing have stalled, or you want to move to the next level, you need to create that kind of content that gets your audience to the action. Bringing History to Life

Some people love history so much that they want to relive it over and over again. Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be engaged in a battle re-enactment? They always look like so much fun and serve an important purpose in educating the younger generations about the way their ancestors lived. If you want to know what life was like during events that shaped the world, then these historical societies provide a tangible, visual example.

Such societies are found right across the globe and cover many different periods of history and war. The Sealed Knot are the oldest running re-enactment society in the UK, the largest in Europe and also act as an educational charity. The original idea came in 1968 at a garden party where friends were dressed as Cavaliers to celebrate the publishing of a new book on the Civil War. Two years later, the idea of forming re-enactment armies saw more than one thousand people joining up. Initially there was only a Royalist Army section but there soon followed a Parliamentarian Army and an Army of Scotland and Ireland.

The idea of battle re-enactments is not to glorify war but to pay tribute to those who died during them. It also offers a unique glimpse into the way people lived, why events transpired as they did and to educate people about life during war.

The Sealed Knot set up events all over the country and throughout the whole year so there will always be an event running near to you. Some events are more like festivals and involve camping for the weekend with many displays lasting for several days. As many as over a thousand men and women take part in the battles in an impressive spectacle, with exact replica weapons, clothing and living conditions as they would have experienced during the 17th century.

Whilst every effort is made to keep combatants safe, with horses thundering around, smoke pluming from muskets and soldiers clashing, the occasional accident is possible so they have to make sure there are medical crews on standby. For Events Medical Cover, visit https://www.outdoormedicalsolutions.co.uk/

On a smaller scale, the Sealed Knot also visit schools in period costume and talk about the clothes, weapons, cooking methods and other aspects of daily life during the Civil War. Members of the Sealed Knot can also be asked to fill buildings from that period for publicity events or photographic purposes to recreate what the building would have felt like during that time.

It’s not always history that leads people to joining such an organisation as they might have friends or family who are already members and wish to become involved for the social aspect. You don’t have to have any preferences for which regiment you join, you can just join the local one your friends are a part of. Some people feel strongly enough to want to join a particular regiment as maybe they had ancestors that served in the original regiment. There are also non-army units so if battling isn’t your thing, there are many others way to get involved.

ROI in Social Media is measured by the conversion capacity of followers

The trainer and expert in Search Engine Positioning, Javier Gosende, recognizes that the language that companies best interpret is in the key of ROI. For the expert, an eCommerce with 10,000 Facebook fans “is worth almost nothing” until you launch a special promotion addressed to them with a call to action and achieved their conversion.
